About the Apple Inc.
Apple Inc., formerly Apple Computer, Inc., is an American multinational corporation head quartered in Cupertino, California, that designs, develops, and sells consumer electronics, computer software and personal computers. Its best-known hardware products are the Mac line of computers, the iPod music player, the iPhone smartphone, and the iPad tablet computer. The product above in the Apple Inc. introduction must be so familiar for the big fans, but here we still need to show you about the main products’ characteristics, the advantage and the shortcoming of them. Now let’s begin to the tutorial.
Many of the users (including me) may thing this computer, Mac is the most fantastic computer in the world. But as a user of it, do you know the history of it?
The Macintosh marketed as Mac, also include iMac or MacBook, is a line of personal computers(PCs) designed, developed, and marketed by Apple Inc.It is targeted mainly at the home, education, and creative professional markets.
Steve Jobs introduced the Macintosh 128k on January 24, 1984. This was the first mass-market personal computer featuring graphical user interface and mouse. The 128 was followed by numerous updated models also based on the Motorola 68000 family processors, producing a family of products in the Macintosh lineup. Although the aggressively priced IBM Personal Computer overtook Apple in sales,Macintosh systems found success in education and desktop publishing and kept Apple as the second-largest PC manufacturer until 1994 when it was overtaken by Compaq.
Another switch occurred with Apple’s transition to Intel processors starting in 2006. The Mac lineup is now entirely based on these processors and associated systems. Modern members of the Mac family are broken into two groups, desktops and laptops. Current members of the desktop lineup include the all-in-one iMac, entry-level Mac mini, and the Mac Pro tower graphics workstation. Laptop models are based on the MacBook Air and MacBook Pro laptops. Its XServe server was discontinued on January 31, 2011.By the early 1990s the performance advantage of these systems was eroded by Intel-based systems, and starting in 1994 the Macintosh started a move to the PowerPC-based Power Macintosh line. Through the mid-1990s, improvements in performance and the under lying Wintel platform, notably with the introduction of Windows 95, seriously affected the Macintosh market. In 1998, Apple consolidated its multiple consumer-level desktop models into the all-in-one iMac, which proved to be a sales success and saw the brand revitalized.
That’s what your Mac’s history.
The iPhone is a line of smartphones designed and marketed by Apple Inc.It runs Apple’s iOS mobile operating system. The first generation iPhone was released on June 29, 2007, the most recent iPhones, the seventh-generation iPhone 5C and iPhone 5S, were introduced on September 10, 2013.
The user interface is built around the device’s multi-touchscreen, including a virtual keyboard. The iPhone has Wi-Fi and cellular connectivity (2G,3G,4G, andLTE). An iPhone can shoot video(though this was not a standard feature until the iPhone 3GS),take photos, play music, send and receive email, browse the web, send texts, and receive visual voice mail. Other functions-video games, reference works,GPS navigation, social networking, etc.-can be enabled by downloading application programs (‘apps’); as of October 2013, the App Store offered more than 1 million apps by Apple and third parties.
iPad can do the best job such as in the education, business or meeting (though I won’t do this such thing and I just use it to play games in weekend).
iPod or iPod Touch may be used when people are doing physical exercise like running or having a walk. (But be careful when you are listening to the song when crossing the road, take care of yourself and your devices.)
I don’t think this first article is the best prologue of this Apple news site. But I do hope the words above can let most of you can understand a little bit history of your favorite product. And the next article or post, we will begin the topic you want to learn most-the technology or data loss and data recovery. Just wait and see.
